This section brings together selected projects that sit alongside my writing and analysis. These initiatives reflect applied engagement with questions of governance, crisis response, and accountability, and inform my broader work on the political economy of crisis.

The projects listed here are presented as selected past and current work, rather than as a comprehensive portfolio.

Gender Electoral Representation in Nigeria (GERIN)

Current

Gender Electoral Representation in Nigeria (GERIN) is a non-partisan civic initiative focused on advancing women’s political participation and electoral representation. The project examines structural barriers within party systems and electoral processes, and supports dialogue, research, and public engagement on inclusive democratic governance.

GERIN reflects a sustained interest in accountability, representation, and how power is exercised within political systems. Further development of this initiative is planned for 2026.

Selected Past Projects

Security in Mobility

Kenya

The Security in Mobility project examined the intersection of population movement, insecurity, and humanitarian access. The work focused on understanding how mobility shapes vulnerability, protection risks, and response strategies, particularly in contexts where displacement and movement are persistent rather than temporary.

The project contributed to broader discussions on humanitarian security, access, and the governance of mobility in crisis settings.

Ending Drought Emergencies (EDE)

Kenya

The Ending Drought Emergencies initiative sought to move drought response away from cyclical emergency aid toward longer-term resilience and systems-based approaches. The work engaged with institutional coordination, policy alignment, and knowledge management across drought-affected regions.

This project informed ongoing debates about why drought crises recur despite repeated interventions, and how emergency frameworks can unintentionally reinforce long-term vulnerability.

United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security (UNTFHS) Supported Work

Kenya

Work supported through the United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security (UNTFHS) focused on integrated approaches to crisis response that link humanitarian action, development, and institutional capacity. The engagement explored how human security frameworks are operationalized in practice, and where gaps emerge between policy intent and field implementation.

Joint Humanitarian Action Plan (JHAP)

Nigeria

The Joint Humanitarian Action Plan (JHAP) engagement in Nigeria involved coordination and planning within a complex humanitarian response environment. The work engaged with multi-actor planning processes, prioritization, and the challenges of aligning humanitarian objectives with political and operational realities.

This experience contributed to a deeper understanding of collective planning mechanisms and their limits in prolonged crisis contexts.
